How Did I Get Here?

It was one thing to decide that I was going to pursue a proper education in the art of astrology. It was another to know where that would lead me. I am writing this in the month before I participate in an event in Hollywood as the astrologer amongst a crew of five practitioners of other oracular disciplines. I will be doing astrology exclusively, this time without my trusty Tarot de Marseille or Le Normand cards.

How did I get here?

Take a step, follow it with another one, and don’t fall down. I learned the principle of this toddler’s-level life hack as I was introduced to the “ouch, gimme, and what’s that” of corporeal inhabitation. Do I always follow the wisdom of this principle? It's a frequent occurrence, though not a strict rule. And I assess it to be a contributing factor to this moment.

This moment is Friday, June 27th, 2025. Exalted Jupiter in Cancer is departing from a square with conjunct Saturn and Neptune. The Moon will show a slim waxing crescent at sunset, having completed its dignified renewal in Cancer, and its light will now grow again.

It’s got me all creative, and I’m inspired to write. So I am. Where will I post it?

I hadn’t launched ethannicollastrologer.com yet, but I did want to make it accessible to those who are following my work, as well as my friends and family, to see how things are coming along.

So, I flipped the switch to go public at 2:53PM Pacific.

Scorpio rising, like my natal. However, Venus is nicely occupying Taurus in the seventh, whereas in my chart she is in Scorpio, the first, in a “mutual generosity” situation with Mars, both in detriment, but occupying each other’s territory. I like to think of it as “negotiations.”

Does it suggest a quality of remediation? Is this new site a tool to facilitate good things for others and myself? Sure! Here’s a few things I see:

Moon, the maker herself, in the tenth, a place of going out into the world and being seen, 6° separation from a Pluto opposition in the fourth. An expression of overcoming, in the world, high above the underworld where Pluto exerts its profound influence in the unseen. The opposition between the Moon and Pluto presents a challenging dynamic, such as intense emotional conflict or power struggles within relationships. As one integrates this powerful energy, and the aspect starts to separate, a deeper understanding emerges, transforming these difficulties into profound strengths. This allows for the development of an intense capacity for emotional depth, nurturing, and transformative relational experiences. Ultimately, this transit fosters emotional catharsis, penetrating insight, and the ability to connect deeply with others, animals, and the Earth.

Mars tucked in the succedent eleventh, and Saturn stowed in the cadent 6th. This tampers down these powerful but often trouble making planets.

Mind you, I didn’t select this chart as an election. The chart just happens to be the chart of the moment I made this step. I wanted to do a little something before Mercury went retrograde anyways, so here it is. I will elect a more official launch in the not too distant future. I will use it as a chart for the site itself, to help

Don’t worry Myselfismycards is very much growing and thriving, and there is no question of anything to the contrary. You can check myselfismycards.com for proof and join our mailing list and Insta for updates.

There you have it, I am preparing to expand into a proper astrology practice, and you can check in on it at ethannicollastrologer.com and ethan_nicoll_ on Insta.
